There are restrooms and a shower that are wheelchair accessible. The owner of the site does not call it ADA Accessible as some cabins are not ADA Accessible. \nHarvest Raid XXIX\n“Rise from the Ashes”\nFriday\, September 29\, 2023 – Sunday\, October 1\, 2023\nWith a theme of “Rise from the Ashes\,” and with the spirit of the mythical Phoenix\, the Shire of Heronter invites one and all to join us as we celebrate and feast activities on the shores of Lake Chautauqua. Activities will include Heavy Fighting\, Fencing\, Thrown Weapons\, Archery\, A&S Display\, Silent Auction\, and more! \nDayboard will be prepared by Sir Ian Kennoven and Feast will be prepared by Duke Cygnus the Blissful.\nPlease send any questions around allergies and dietary restrictions to the reservations clerk. \nTroll will be open on Friday\, September 29\, 5:00 p.m. -10:00 p.m. and Saturday\, September 30\, 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The site will close at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday\, October 1\, and all participants should plan to be off site by that time. \nThe event is at the Lake Chautauqua Lutheran Center\, 5013 NY-430\, Bemus Point\, NY 14712. Bring clothing for both hot and sunny and cool and rainy conditions. \nIndoor space is available in the Main Hall for socializing\, projects\, games\, and dance activities as well as the A&S Display and Silent Auction. Accessible indoor restrooms and changing spaces are available. \nIn celebration of our return to the traditional 3-day Harvest Raid\, bardic and dance activities are encouraged\, and requests for any special support for these activities may be sent to the autocrat. \nArts and Sciences Display – All attendees are encouraged to bring items\, in progress or complete\, to display in the Arts & Sciences Display. Documentation is encouraged but not required. SUMMARY:A Most Excellent Thrown Weapons Muster
DESCRIPTION:CALLING ALL THROWERS!!!\nUnto all the throwing populace\, The Honorable Lord Kuma bids SUMMONS!!\nThis October\, there will be a Muster of all throwers far and near\, for the purposes of teaching\, training\, learning\, practicing\, and competing\, in all things thrown weapons. Axe\, knife\, spear\, plumbata\, sling and much more\, will all have a place to learn and practice.\nAre you an MIT\, a new marshal\, or looking to increase your marshaling prowess?? This event is especially for you!! There will be lessons in range setup and preperation\, tournament formatting\, Line calling\, inspections and more!\nNever thrown a plumbata\, or used a sling? We can help!!\nThere will be at least 3 separate ranges ranges running\, a “normal” range for practice and tournament use\, a special weapons range\, for plumbata\, sling\, 2 handed weapons\, and other unique weaponry\, and a teaching range.\nThis event will be a unique opportunity for throwers of all skill levels to gather\, share their knowledge and expertise\, and learn for some of the best throwers in the known world. Please join us and throw all the things!\nDid I say tournament?? Why yes I did! There will be a tournament near the end of the day\, which will include many different weapon styles. Do you have what it takes to be the best? Here’s your chance to prove it!!\nTHIS IS A FREE EVENT! I want to give everyone the best opportunity to get the most out of this muster\, so there will be no event fee.\nFood will be pot luck\, so bring a dish to share. Electricity will be available for crock pots and the like. Turn right at W Beaver St/PA-68 (approx 1/4 mile)(Please note there is a 7Eleven on the far right corner of this intersection). Continue to follow PA-68 for about 6 miles. You will make a right onto Rothart Road. There is a large metal sign for the Archery Club on the corner. Follow Rothart Road for about 1 mile. Turn Left into the Archery Club \nFrom the North:\nMake your best way to I-79 S. Take exit 88 Zelienople. At end of ramp turn right onto Little Creek Road continue for about ∏ mile and turn Left onto Perry Hwy/US 19. In approx 1.5 miles\, turn right at W Beaver St/PA-68 (Please note there is a 7Eleven on the far right corner of this intersection). Continue to follow PA-68 for about 6 miles.
