DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Barony of Caer Anterth Mawr\nKingdom of Northshield \nMarquette University Campus-William Wehr Physics Building 1250 W Wisconsin Ave Milwaukee WI 53233 \nPlanned Activities: Classes\nPre-registration will open in late March\, and the link will be available from the event website. Pre-registration will close on Friday\, June 9\, 2023.\n\nSite Fees:\n\nWeekend Site Fee: $25\nMember Weekend Site Fee: $20\nWeekend Site Fee (Ages 0-6): Free\n\nWeekend Site Fee includes Saturday Lunch\, menu to follow ( https://www.caeranterth.org/lunch ). Those with dietary restrictions should pre-register for the event to make their dietary needs known to the lunch staff.\n\nLodging Fees (per night):\n(All lodging must be pre-registered)\n\nSingle room: $63\nDouble room (1-2 persons): $90\nQuad room (1-4 persons): $110\n\nLodging site information\, amenities\, and rules can be found in detail at: https://www.caeranterth.org/lodgings\n\nParking is available at on-campus visitor lots\, rates as posted at those lots (currently $10 per entrance/exit\, or per 24 hours or portion thereof https://www.marquette.edu/visit/visitor-parking.php )\n\nTravel and Transportation:\nMilwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) is ~8 miles away from the site lodging. Multiple airlines serve MKE\, and while there is not a shuttle from the airport to the event site\, there is public transportation\, Uber and Lyft easily accessible and at reasonable rates. Milwaukee is approximately 90 miles north of Chicago\, and located on the I-94 corridor. There is an Amtrak and Greyhound station less than a mile from the event site\, which includes a commuter train from Chicago.\n\nFor those with limited mobility\, a courtesy shuttle run by the event is planned to assist persons in moving between the event site and the lodging site. If you anticipate needing this shuttle (the event site and lodging site are ~0.4 miles apart along city sidewalks/paved paths)\, please pre-register and let us know in your pre-registration so we can judge capacity needs.\n\nEvent Space:\nSaturday and Sunday classes will be held in the William Wehr Physics building on the Marquette campus. The Physics building is fully handicapped accessible\, with push-button doors at the SW corner\, all external doors at-grade (no stairs)\, and an elevator to all three event floors. Class and social spaces will be primarily on the first and second floors\, with Saturday lunch served from the third floor. All event spaces have complimentary wi-fi. Campus and event rules\, including alcohol\, weapons\, and tobacco policies\, can be found here: https://www.caeranterth.org/event-info-1\n\nEvent Schedule:\nHeraldic and Scribal classes are scheduled for Saturday. Heraldic Road Show and additional Scribal Classes are scheduled for Sunday. A special visit to the manuscript collection at the Marquette Library has been arranged for Saturday morning–seats are limited and pre-registration will be required (details will be forthcoming). Court is at the whim of TRM Northshield. Online schedule will be updated as further information is available: https://www.caeranterth.org/schedule-1\n\nClass Proposals & Schedule:\nClass proposals will be accepted starting in early April\, and will close in late May. Each of the classrooms has a projector and a camera for showing documents or works-in-progress. Instructors may bring their own laptops or arrange to use in-room computers\nA full class list and class schedule will be posted after class proposals close\, and will be available on the website\, likely in early June. DESCRIPTION:CANCELED DUE TO AIR QUALITY \n  \n   \nAdditional notes on Wheelchair Accessibility: Site is a rustic outdoor site; the land is fairly flat and wheelchair accessible. There will be a handicapped accessible bathroom (porta-potty) on site for the event. Please contact the event hosts for any question or if any accommodations are needed.\nAdditional Notes on Alcohol Policy: This site is wet\, please account for personal waste removal as bulk removal services will not be available. There is no on site bar or alcohol sales. As this is a private residence\, the owners graciously ask that all festivities and alcohol consumption remain within moderation.\nAdditional Notes on Pet Policy: Leashed well behaved pets are welcome.\nAdditional Notes on Flames: Campfires will be limited to 2-3 designated places in the woods or yard.\nAutocrat Notes: Camping is limited\, please contact the hosts Michael or Stacey Rohling regarding tent types & sizes\, and any location requirements.\nMerchants are welcome at no additional charge. Please contact the event steward\, Zoe Doukaina Radene (Valeri Dedich) regarding merchanting. \nThe Canton of Dun Loch\, with the assistance from our beloved Barony of Delftwood welcomes all to Blades and Brews I\, a celebration of thrown weapons and brewing arts\, with a side of fencing\, archery\, and bardic arts. Many thrown weapons contests and tournaments are planned\, as well as the celebration of all drinks brewed (non-alcoholic welcome too!). \nThe event will be held at the Wylderwoode site (393 Fort Leazier Road\, Mexico NY\, 13114). Event site opens at 5 PM Friday June 30. 2023.\, and the event ends on Sunday\, July 2\, 2023\, at 6 PM to all except residents and staff. \nThe event steward is THL Zoe Doukaina Radene (Valeri Dedich\, 9 Tracey Street\, Whitesboro\, NY 13492\, phone number 315-561-3899\, e-mail valeri9354@yahoo.com).\nEvent Hosts are Michael and Stacey Rohling\, 393 Fort Leazier Road\, Mexico\, NY 13114. \nThe site will be limited to a total of 120 participants for each day (Saturday and Sunday). \nRegistration fees are as follows: \nAdult Day Fee – $15.00 per day (SCA Members $10.00 per day) Camping Fee $5.00 per person for one or both nights \nYouth Day Fee (Ages 6-14) $10.00 per day (SCA Member $5.00 per day) Camping Fee $5.00 per youth for one or both nights. \nFamily Cap $50.00 for Day Fees and Camping for one or both nights\, \nChildren 0-5 No fees charges for site fees or camping. \nBagged lunches both Saturday and Sunday and a simple feast Saturday night are being planned. The bagged lunches will be $5.00 each\, and the Saturday evening Feast of Simple Fare will be no more than $15.00. There may also be food available at Six Acres Farm Brewery within walking distance of the site at the time of the event.
