There will be both the Endless Hills Baronial Rapier Championship as well as the “Don’t take Anyone for Granted” Grants vs Non tournament\, each with a Garnet tourney coin at stake… Plus time for additional tourneys and pickups.. games and shmoozing.. and who knows what else! (Steel Therapy is already conspiring tourney ideas.. Our Feast of Fools will be a potluck dinner and party held at the American Legion Helmuth-Ingalls Post 232 in Franklin Springs\, NY\, on the evening of Friday\, January 19th. \nThe party starts at 6 PM and will continue until 10 PM. DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the Shire of Sterlynge Vayle \nRoyal Progress:  \nNoble Populace\,  \nI hope that your New Years was wonderful and you are greeting this with renewed vigor and excitement. The path of any martial skill like any other is always an ever changing\, ever adapting\, and ever growing experience we all share. From the more scholarly pursuits of Arts and Science\, to the Archer and Thrower\, to the Rapier and Heavy. As we enter the new year with fresh resolve we should begin now to look towards our biggest event of the year Pennsic. We should hone those skills that we have worked so hard to achieve that make Æthelmearc a known and intimidating force to contend with on all fields of battle. \nAs such\, we here in The Shire of Sterlynge Vayle have begun our prep work. And to that end on the 21st of this month at our local fight practice\, from 2pm to 6pm\, we will be hosting the first Muster of the year. This is not just a Heavy Muster\, this is a MUSTER. So regardless of your calling bring your gear\, enjoy our hospitality and for a couple hours work on your fighting\, fencing\, arts and science. We have class rooms available for the folks working on projects so they\, like those of us in the martial specialties\, can hone their skills\, get input or give advice to others. \nFighters and Fencers.  Bring your gear\, let’s make the most of the time we have been afforded to work on this. \nNext Month another Muster will be announced by another Regional Commander. And so forth and so on\, and in the interim we should not let our weapons fall to disrepair. Whether it be our minds\, or our blades. \nTo quote a passage from a book\, “A Mind needs Books like a Sword needs a Whetstone.” \nA FB event will be made and posted soon\, but for now\, from 2pm to 6pm at: \nWest Windsor Baptist Church\, 166 N Rd\, Windsor\, NY 13865 \nI hope to see as many of you as can possibly make it\, let’s not waste these opportunities. \nDue to our sites policies in place\, we are not allowed to take a knee in the gymnasium due to our armor possibly marring and marking the floor. These festivities meant to prepare them for the long days ahead\, tracking the ever elusive and elegant White Hart\, will take place over several days. It will begin on Friday\, March 1st\, A.S. LVIII\, by welcoming travelers from far and wide with some warm and filling food and drink\, and a good night’s rest. Early morning on Saturday\, March 2nd\, the day’s events will begin with a hearty breakfast and lunch intermingled with tournaments and activities for all. A magnificent feast will be had in the evening\, followed by more merriment. DESCRIPTION:Additional Notes on Alcohol Policy: All beverages must be hidden and empties removed from site. \nAdditional Notes on Pet Policy: All pets are to be on a leashes and be cleaned up after. Any misbehaving pets and owners will be asked to leave site \nA day of throwing weapons. There will be multiple ranges and multiple classes inside and out side the main hall. \nPlease join us for this free even on April 19th -21st\, 2024. This event will start at 5 on the 19th and will close at 11 on the 21st. There is room inside for anyone that would like to put down a sleeping bag and space for camping. If bringing a camper there is hookups and there is a fee do the site of $10. \nIf you are interested in running a range or a thrown weapons class please reach out to the class coordinator Baroness Anastasie delamoure at anastasiedelamoure@gmail.com. \nAs there is LOTS of inside space if you are interested in teaching any scribal or sewing classes please reach out to our class coordinator Baroness Anastasie delamoure. \nIf you have any food allergies please reach out to our cook for the day William Bough Walker at edwardthearcher@gmail.com. \nAlthough this is a free event we do ask you to drop an email to our class coordinator so we can get an approximate head count so there is enough food. \nWith camping space you can bring your tent or can place a cot in the main hall and spend the night with us. There will be a camp fire after a night throw.
