DESCRIPTION:Do you enjoy sampling food and drink? Are you a Foodie who likes to learn about food? This is an event for you! Are you a Cook or Brewer who wants to see people enjoying your food or drinks? This is an event for you! The Castle will have 20 Cook’s tables\, each with two-bite samples of two to three dishes. Attendees stroll through the Castle\, tasting samples of food and drink and discussing them with Cooks. There will be room for cooking demonstrations in the Period Kitchen. Cooks\, is there a recipe you want to make but don’t think it’s amenable to a big event menu? Now is your chance to show it off! Having at least one gluten-free and/or vegetarian recipe is encouraged. This delicious experience will be held Saturday\, August 29th in the Barony Marche of the Debatable Lands at the Castle\, 755 Stonegate Drive\, Wexford PA 15090. Site opens for Attendees at 10:30am (Cooks\, Brewers and Staff at 8:30am) and closes at 7pm. DESCRIPTION:Additional Notes on Flames: all flames are to be either in established fire pits on site or in raised braziers \nPlease join us for The Road to Rouen\, a late 14th-century focused camping event inspired by the Hundred Years’ War. Hosted by the Shire of Heronter\, this immersive event emphasizes period encampments\, martial activities\, archery\, Arts & Sciences\, and life on campaign in the late 1300s. Previous iterations of this event have drawn over 200 attendees\, and we look forward to welcoming returning and new participants alike. \nActivities will include Heavy Fighting\, Archery\, Arts & Sciences classes\, and period social activities. Sharpen your throwing weapons\, we have plans just for you! Did you hear rumors of combat archery and siege weapons joining in the fun? Yes they can! Join us for a fun filled weekend of Equestrian\, Fighting\, Fencing\, Archery\, Thrown Weapons\, Bardic\, Children’s Activities\, and Arts and Sciences. Prizes will be awarded to the winner of each tournament held. Write down your wishes and hopes for the coming year and send them to the heavens as we celebrate the harvest season with the burning of a wickerman on Saturday night.
