Axe\, knife\, spear\, plumbata\, sling and much more\, will all have a place to learn and practice.\nAre you an MIT\, a new marshal\, or looking to increase your marshaling prowess?? This event is especially for you!! There will be lessons in range setup and preperation\, tournament formatting\, Line calling\, inspections and more!\nNever thrown a plumbata\, or used a sling? We can help!!\nThere will be at least 3 separate ranges ranges running\, a “normal” range for practice and tournament use\, a special weapons range\, for plumbata\, sling\, 2 handed weapons\, and other unique weaponry\, and a teaching range.\nThis event will be a unique opportunity for throwers of all skill levels to gather\, share their knowledge and expertise\, and learn for some of the best throwers in the known world. There will be a playroom with Yuletide inspired games and activities meant for all ages available throughout the day. Pets are not permitted on site – only Service Animals as permitted by the ADA. Also\, there is no alcohol permitted on site. \nThe Baronial Bardic Championship will be held during lunch and will be run by our current Baronial Bardic Champion Lady Glenna Cholomondeley. The theme is TBD. The Baronial A & S Championship will be held between 2pm and 4pm and will be run by our current Baronial A & S Champion Noble Zabela Zavodchikov. The theme is TBD. The Peace Tourney starts at 10am until 4pm and will be run by Lady Muirgen of Delftwood. We will honor the tradition of hiding the bean in the King’s cake and crowning a Lord or Lady of Misrule.\nIf you are a scribe\, whether a veteran of scribal arts or you just started\, please bring any complete scrolls or works in progress for a scroll display so attendants at the event can see the talent and skill of the society scribes. All alcohol must be purchased from the Legion Bar. \nPlease join the Shire of Coppertree for an evening of festivity and misrule\, as we mark the traditional end of the festive period with a Twelfth Night celebration! Our Feast of Fools will be a potluck dinner and party held at the American Legion Helmuth-Ingalls Post 232 in Franklin Springs\, NY\, on the evening of Friday\, January 19th. \nThe party starts at 6 PM and will continue until 10 PM. DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the Shire of Sterlynge Vayle \nRoyal Progress:  \nNoble Populace\,  \nI hope that your New Years was wonderful and you are greeting this with renewed vigor and excitement. The path of any martial skill like any other is always an ever changing\, ever adapting\, and ever growing experience we all share. From the more scholarly pursuits of Arts and Science\, to the Archer and Thrower\, to the Rapier and Heavy. As we enter the new year with fresh resolve we should begin now to look towards our biggest event of the year Pennsic. We should hone those skills that we have worked so hard to achieve that make Æthelmearc a known and intimidating force to contend with on all fields of battle. \nAs such\, we here in The Shire of Sterlynge Vayle have begun our prep work. And to that end on the 21st of this month at our local fight practice\, from 2pm to 6pm\, we will be hosting the first Muster of the year. This is not just a Heavy Muster\, this is a MUSTER. So regardless of your calling bring your gear\, enjoy our hospitality and for a couple hours work on your fighting\, fencing\, arts and science. We have class rooms available for the folks working on projects so they\, like those of us in the martial specialties\, can hone their skills\, get input or give advice to others. \nFighters and Fencers.  Bring your gear\, let’s make the most of the time we have been afforded to work on this. \nNext Month another Muster will be announced by another Regional Commander. And so forth and so on\, and in the interim we should not let our weapons fall to disrepair. Whether it be our minds\, or our blades. \nTo quote a passage from a book\, “A Mind needs Books like a Sword needs a Whetstone.” \nA FB event will be made and posted soon\, but for now\, from 2pm to 6pm at: \nWest Windsor Baptist Church\, 166 N Rd\, Windsor\, NY 13865 \nI hope to see as many of you as can possibly make it\, let’s not waste these opportunities. \nDue to our sites policies in place\, we are not allowed to take a knee in the gymnasium due to our armor possibly marring and marking the floor.
