DESCRIPTION:Royal Progress:    \nUnto all the peoples of the Kingdom of AEthelmearc I send greetings and joyous news! The time has come to crown our Royal Highnesses\, and once again showcase the prowess and skill of our many talented citizens and neighbors. \nWe bring to you a day full of amazing sights. We shall bear witness to the coronation of Prince Gareth Kincaid and Princess Julianna Delamere as they ascend the Sylvan throne for their 5th reign \nOn September 19 at the AMVETS 265 North Ave\, Washington\, Pa we will celebrate all that is good in our beloved Kingdom culminating in a grand feast to end the day. \nTheir Majesties will be seeking their Heavy Weapons Champion. A tournament will be held and a victor chosen from all worthy combatants. \nWe will also have fencing and throwing weapons\, please restrict any pavilions or easy ups to the lower field. We will be holding an A&S display\, as well as scribal play time. Their Highnesses are also requesting Largesse donations. There is no theme and they request that you make what you wish. \nA day board is included in your site fee. The feast will be capped at 50 people. Pre-registration is encouraged to ensure we can serve all attending. Site fee for members is $20\, non members $30\, feast is $15\, children free. Checks can be made out to SCA-PA\, Shire of Kings Crossing. Pre registration can be made to James Boyd 107 Donley Rd Eighty Four\, PA 15330. There will be various vendors and artisans in different themed areas of the park. They have asked that the SCA be a part of the fun and demonstrate what makes us fun. We want to showcase armored combat\, fencers\, youth fighters\, artisans and guilds. Possibly throwing weapons and archery. We invite you to come show off a craft\, garb\, art\, or skill and help us “show and tell” others what we love about our organization. \nAs the nature of the event is family oriented\, it is dry\, no flame\, or firearms please. Service animals welcome. This is an event open to the public and expecting a fair amount of foot traffic. \nThe site has a lot of hills\, sidewalks\, and grass paths. Some outdoor areas may not be very accessible. There are some activities indoor and rest rooms. Our area will be outdoors and there will be a canvas tent set up for display that is open to faire goers and one closed off from the public for us to use to store gear or cool off. \nParking. The business next to the park will allow us to use their lot. Parking will be limited carpooling will be recommended. Please bring chairs and water. There will be food vendors.

Entries will be judged face-to-face and the scoring will be based on the Kingdom A&S rubrics. DESCRIPTION:Additional Notes on Pet Policy: Emotional support animals are not allowed. \nThe Known World Commedia Symposium will be held May 28-31 in the Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands\, Kingdom of Æthelmearc. The site is LaRoche University\, 9000 Babcock Blvd.\, Pittsburgh\, PA 15237. The event will focus on classes about and performances of 16th Century Commedia dell’Arte shows\, including topics like working with sources from history\, how to create a script\, stage combat\, blocking\, character development\, and vocal projection. There will also be other activities related to 16th Century Italy\, including rapier classes from Italian manuals\, dancing\, Venetian costuming\, cooking\, and scribal classes. \nIn addition\, join us for tours of the famed castle built and owned by Duke Byron of Haverford and Duchess Sir Ariella of Thornbury on Friday evening at 7pm and Monday morning at 11am. The castle\, located 20 minutes from the university\, is based on 14th c. Bodiam Castle in East Sussex\, England. Emotional support animals and pets are not allowed.
