DESCRIPTION:Additional Notes on Flames: While camping\, fires are permitted in designated fire rings. \nThe Barony of Thescorre cordially invites you to Pax Interruptus and the Baronial Investiture\, to be held June 26–27.\nSite opens at 6:00 p.m. on June 26 and closes at 8:00 p.m. on June 27th. \nJoin us for an overnight camping event featuring heavy combat\, combat archery\, siege\, fencing\, target archery\, thrown weapons\, merchants\, Bardic\, and A&S. The event will take place at Camp Whitman on Seneca Lake\, 150 Whitman Rd.\, Penn Yan\, NY 14527. \nBreakfast and lunch are included in the site fee. \nThis year\, we will honor the service of Baron Andriu and Baroness Nuzha as they retire\, and we will welcome our incoming Baronage. \nEvent Steward:\nLord Daniel of Blackthorn (Daniel Beadle)\nPhone: 585‑747‑2372 \nLodging: \n15 rustic cabins are available. Each cabin sleeps 4 people. Individuals can rent cabin space for $5. Exterior Access\nRamps: Concrete ramps are provided on both sides of the shower house. Ramp height is approximately 6 inches at the upper landing.\nPathways: Sidewalks leading to the entrances are standard width.\nEntrance Configuration: A wall is positioned immediately adjacent to the doorway\, creating a potentially restrictive turning radius for mobility device users. This may impede access for wheelchairs\, scooters\, and some rollators.\n2. Exterior Shower Facilities\nEach side of the building includes two outdoor spigot‑style showers.\nThese fixtures are not designed for accessible use and do not include grab bars\, privacy accommodations\, or accessible controls.\n3. Interior Shower Area\nTotal Stalls: Four indoor shower stalls.\n“Accessible” Stall: One stall is slightly larger and labeled as accessible; however\, it is not usable by wheelchair or scooter users due to:\nDoorway width that does not meet accessibility standards (confirmed by camp maintenance).\nAngled shower door that further restricts maneuverability.\nAbsence of properly installed grab bars (confirmed by camp maintenance).\nGeneral Access: The doorway leading into the shower area is too narrow for most mobility devices.\n4. Sinks\nThree stainless‑steel sinks are installed at a lower height\, approximately 30 inches from the ground (hip height).\nWhile the height may benefit some users\, the sinks do not appear to meet accessibility requirements for knee clearance or approach space.\n5. Toilet Stalls\nTotal Stalls: Three toilet stalls—two standard‑size stalls and one slightly larger stall.\nGrab Bars: No grab bars are installed in any stall.\nStall Access: The entry to the larger stall is not wide enough to accommodate most mobility devices\, limiting its functional accessibility. \nWe will have ADA compliant porta johns available.
