Fierce warriors may try their mettle upon the field of battle in martial activities\, including armored combat\, rapier\, thrown weapons\, and archery competitions. \nFriday evening will hold bardic activities\, possible torchlight tournament. A traveler’s repast will be provided for all in attendance. \nA campfire ring is provided and can be used. (The site is wet\, so brewing entries are welcome!) There will also be room for Arts & Sciences displays! However\, since this event is being held in the same location two years in a row\, we will be offering virtual entries and encourage these competitors to deliver their projects to the site even if they cannot be present.\nThe in-person competition will be held along the same lines as in the past (visit the A&S Champs Web Page for more information). Entries will be judged face-to-face and the scoring will be based on the Kingdom A&S rubrics. Judges and competitors will be contacted ahead of the event to schedule judging slots.\nIn order to accommodate scheduling both in-person and virtual judging\, there will be no day-of entries. The deadline to enter will be September 26th\, 2026 at midnight. Artisans who wish to bring their projects last minute will be welcomed to join the A&S display.\nIf you are interested in entering or judging this year’s A&S championship\, please fill out this form: https://forms.gle/uTVMNnyyj19ctNUw6. By entering the competition\, entrants consent to receive feedback on their projects. All judging is reviewed and kept on file by the A&S office for quality assurance.\nDue to the increased quantity of applied research projects seen at Pennsic War Point this year\, we will be debuting a new Kingdom Applied Research category (rubric forthcoming)! This will allow entrants to enter multiple objects as a single entry and discuss the progression of their research. Prior entry in another competition or display does not disqualify you from entering\, we love to see continued progress on existing projects.\nThe scores will be tallied once all judging is completed (the combined online and in-person entries) and relayed to Their Majesties who will choose their champion(s) and announce them at the event during court.\nTheir Majesties and the Kingdom Office of Arts & Sciences are very much looking forward to seeing what our Kingdom has to offer!
