SUMMARY:Blackstone Annual Muster & Feast
DESCRIPTION:Additional notes on Wheelchair Accessibility: Grassy Areas\, Handicap Portocastle\, small incline but overall very manageable access.\nAdditional Notes on Alcohol Policy: Effort should be made to use period containers and dispose of alcoholic beverage trash discreetly.\nAdditional Notes on Pet Policy: Pets must be leashed and cleaned up after there are available pet stations. Any animal that causes a disturbance will be asked to be removed.\nAdditional Notes on Flames: After the fire is extinguished the holes must be refilled and the sod/grass replaced. “No trace left behind” policy. \nJoin us\, on the banks of the great river which makes our western border\, in our mission; a show of force (and frivolity) to ensure the prospect of our nations. \nThe Barony of Blackstone Mountain is beginning a new tradition of hosting a recruiting event with the aim of growing the armies in the southern span of our great Kingdom as well as throughout Aethelmearc and the entirety of the SCA. Boons will be granted for the service of bringing a newcomer to share in our pastime. Sparking a flame of love for the modern medieval ages we have created in our Society.\nTournaments of all disciplines will display our prowess with martial activities and creative assets in our great Barony. \nThe public will be invited to view the proceeding from designated areas and possibly tour as staff are able and willing to with the idea of inspiring interest to encourage future participation. \nThere will be raffle prizes as bounty for recruitment. Entry to win is bought by having a newcomer list a member as a referral to the event. The member with the most recruits will be granted an exclusive baronial accolade to be handed down in the following year as an ongoing tradition for the event. \nWe hope to enact a process of better acclimating newcomers and encourage participation within our communities. \nRavenswood is centrally located in our barony between Charleston\, Parkersburg\, and Point Pleasant which are our largest dense populations. The site is also a daytrip 2-3 hours’ drive from Clarksburg\, Huntington\, Morgantown\, Beckley\, and Wheeling WV As well as many municipalities in south-east Ohio and South West PA.\n_______________________________________ \n+Non-member Adult Fee: $25\n+Adult SCA Member Fee: $15\n+Youth Fee (17-6yo): $5\n+Ages 5 and under- FREE\n+Feast Fee $15 (Feast cap of 50 PRE-REG ONLY) 5 years or younger included in adult feast fee\n+Camping: Free\, RV spots available (contact for more info)\n__________________________________________ \nONLINE PRERIGSTRATION : https://forms.gle/ULuYpGNASz6fcrwEA \n-PREREGISTRATION CLOSES August 25th\, 2024\n– Troll opens Saturday Sept 14th at 8am activities planned starting at 9am\n-FEAST and entry fee can be collected at troll for online unpaid preregistration \n***-Registration for Feast (either by mail or online) MUST be made by AUGUST 25th —– NO ACCEPTIONS! ——***\n__________________________________________\nPreregistrations\, Stage Reservations\, Questions and Merchant requests can be made by contacting Autocrat Lady Brienne the Scorned (Katie Haught via text message at 304-532-4363 (text will get you a same-day response) or via email to katiehaught1@yahoo.com (email may take longer to respond to) \n-Make checks or money orders payable to: SCA-WV Inc.
