SUMMARY:Myrkfaelinn Summer War Practice and 50th Birthday Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Royal Progress:    \n    \nAdditional notes on Wheelchair Accessibility: The site is flat. Most of the activities will be on grass.\nAdditional Notes on Alcohol Policy: Site is damp\, but do not go into the park with an open container.\nAdditional Notes on Flames: We will have a prepared bonfire area ready for evening entertainment.\nAdditional Notes on Weapons: No firearms\, but all other weapons are ok. \nWith anticipation of war\, we in the Dominion invite you to join us in preparation. Come shake out the rust and dust and hone your skills. There will be plenty room for Fencing and Heavy melee as well as archery and throwing weapons. We will also have an A&S display area and other activities for the gentler arts. \nThis year we are particularly excited to welcome you all to come and celebrate with us our 50th year Birthday coming up on the 13th of July. We are planning numerous additional activities to commemorate this exciting milestone! \nThe event will take place on the Tioga County Fairgrounds\, 1 W. Main St.\, Owego NY 13827\, right off the NY-17/I-86 or Southern Tier. This is the same site as our equestrian event last year. Site opens at Friday night at 5pm and closes Sunday morning at 12am. \nRegistration:\nAdult Event Registration: $25\nAdult Member Discount Event Registration: $15\nChild\, age 0-17: Free \nEvent registration includes Saturday sideboard lunch and Friday and/or Saturday night camping. Camping for both night with electric and water hookup is $25/site\, non-hookup camping is free. \nPre-registration is always appreciated\, please send reservations to the event Autocrat\, Master Hrólfr á Fjárfelli (Rolf Verberg)\, (607) 351-5191 (please no calls after 10pm)\, at 680 Sheffield Road\, Ithaca NY 14850. Controlled flames are allowed and we will have a prepared bonfire area ready for evening entertainment. \nThe site is level and handicapped/wheelchair accessible and there are wheelchair accessible facilities. But large areas are grass\, so be prepared for potentially wet grass and some unevenness. Turn left onto NY-96N/Southside Dr\, left onto Cort St Brg\, left onto Main St\, right onto McMaster St and left onto Elm St. The event is at the end past the school grounds. Do not park at the school grounds\, but follow directions on site. Do not go to the main Fairgrounds parking area or entrance. The event entrance is in the back! There are a number of local hotels (Hampton Inn Owego\, Quality Inn Suites\, Best Western\, Parkview Inn)\, grocery stores and gas stations around the corner and a choice of restaurants nearby.

SUMMARY:Equestrian and Guild Hall Event
DESCRIPTION:Additional notes on Wheelchair Accessibility: Bathrooms are accessible\nAdditional Notes on Alcohol Policy: no glass \nEquestrian\, Guild Hall\, and Japanese Iris Festival Event will be held June 8th by the Barony Marche of the Debatable Lands in nearby Bradys Run Park. There will be equestrian baronial champs tournament and equestrian challenges. It is also a guild hall day. We are welcoming independent craftpersons as well as local and kingdom guilds to come have a work\, teach\, and demo day. We will have a meet and greet for artisans and guild members to hang out and meet the people from the guilds and to talk about their work. \nThe date Saturday\, June 8th\, 2024 and the site the horse arena at Bradys Run\, 121 Bradys Run Rd\, Beaver Falls\, PA 15010. You must contact Gesa von Wellenstein if you plan to bring a horse or participate in equestrian games. gwellenstein@yahoo.com. \nGuild Hall Site Information:\nWe will be in the horse arena (F) and picnic shelters 2 & 3 at Bradys Run Park\, 121 Brady’s Run Road\, Beaver Falls\, PA 15010 (park map). Troll will be located at Shelter 2\, across from the horse arena. There is a small covered viewing stand at the horse arena. Shelter 3 and the large\, open field will be used for guild space. Shelter 3 also is where lunch will be served; it has a cold water pump\, but no sink basin or running hot water. The field next to Shelter 3 has areas with shade and open sun\, is flat\, and has parking areas around it. Dumping any chemicals or waste other than trash for the trash bin is not permitted. There is only one electric outlet that must be shared with various guilds. We plan to provide a propane stove for hot water if needed.\nIf you work on a craft\, come join us. Please fill out this form so we reserve space for you. We encourage guilds or individuals to work on projects\, to give demos\, to teach others\, and/or to provide make and take projects. You should include information on the form about what your are doing and if you will charge a materials fee for people to participate.
