Rhydderich Hael 12th night

To the fine Barony of the Rhydderich Hael do their Excellencies, Thalia and Magnus, send greetings. Their Excellencies formally invite all to attend the Rhydderich Hael Baronial 12th night. The night will feature games, contests celebrating the many activities of the SCA, a brief court, food, and drink, so break out your festive garb and prepare for a night of fun and long overdue fellowship!
When: Wednesday February 1st, 2023 (this will be in place of normal practice).
Time: 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM.
Where: Eldredge Bicycle Club, 17 Broad St Tonawanda, NY 14150.
Cost: Free. There will be a bin for donations to offset the cost of the site. This is 100% voluntary.
Attendance cap: Attendance for the event is limited to 60 people. If you plan to attend, please mark yourself as going on the event Facebook page or send your name to either of Their Excellencies and they will mark you down as going. The number of people going will be updated. We don’t expect and issue with attendance but please don’t delay.
Garb: Garb is required.
Site details: Site has onsite off-street parking. Entrance to the hall is first floor access and there are no stairs.
COVID: A safety plan has been submitted to the Kingdom for the event with the intent that this will be a mask optional event. If this is not granted the event will still be held. The event will follow all current Kingdom and Barony COVID policy and guidance.
Food: Goal is a potluck feast. Please bring a dish to pass. A list will be created to track who is bringing what to make sure a variety of food is available. Please send a PM to Their Excellencies or post on Facebook event page food that you are planning on bringing. Please plan to bring and display a list of ingredients for your dish.
Drinks: People may bring non-alcoholic drinks. Alcoholic drinks are available from the bar on site and at cost. Non-alcoholic drinks are also available from the bar on site at cost.
Gift giving: Many people take 12th night as an opportunity to exchanges gifts with their SCA friends. Often people will bring small items to give as gifts to any who attend. People are not required to bring gifts to exchange. Even if you receive an unexpected gift, you are in no way expected to reciprocate. Baronial 12th night is an opportunity for us to gather and celebrate and no one should feel excluded because they do not have the money or time to give gifts.
