*There is a step up to the main entrance, you cross an area about 20 feet wide, and step down to the main floor level of the rest of the building. There are additional doors available on the Main Floor Level.
Do you have Fiber in your blood? Or at least in your hands? Come to the 16th annual Fiber, Fabric, & Fighting event on November 16 – 18, 2018 in the Shire of Abhainn Ciach Ghlais and meet many others of the same persuasion!! Saturday will be a day of classes and workshops devoted to fabric, string, and many other Fiber arts. Between classes, as well as Friday and Saturday evening, there is time to chat and work together with friends old and new on shared interests. No activities for children are planned.
The event will be held at the Sieg Conference Center located on 1494 Narrows Road, Lamar PA 16848. This is the site of previous FF&F Events. The site opens at 5PM on Friday and closes at noon on Sunday. To comply with LHU’s Minor Policy, children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

A Dayboard will be provided for all on Saturday from 11am-4pm(ish). If you have any dietary issues, please contact us.
There will be a light supper on Friday and Saturday, an oatmeal breakfast on Saturday morning, and a simple breakfast on Sunday.
The Adult Event Registration of $20 (Adult Member Discount: $15) includes bunk bed and meals. The Adult Day Event Registration of $15 (Adult Member Discount: $10) includes the Saturday side board. Babes in arms are free. Please show proof of membership at the door or with your pre-registration to receive the member discount.

Large Groups: We ask any groups of 10 or more who plan to come without a reservation to please email\call the autocrats first even if you don’t know the exact number of people you are bringing. (It helps us to coordinate the meals).
A Silent Auction will be held to defray travel for out of state teachers – auction donations are welcome and encouraged! Lost and Found items aged one year or more will be on the auction table. If you discover your long-lost item and choose to reclaim it, we ask that you leave a donation in its place as we looked after it for a year and others wanted to bid on it.
We invite all attending to bring relevant books from their personal libraries to contribute to an event reference library. The library will be staffed, and books will not leave the library area.
Bathrooms (indoor plumbing), changing space, and showers are readily available on site.
Limited bunk space is available on site. Reservations will receive first consideration for on-site sleeping accommodations (48 bunk spaces available, in two 24-bed dormitory rooms). Medical necessity for lower bunks will be considered upon reservation, however only 24 lower bunks are available. Please reserve early! Ladders will be provided per bunk room for access to upper bunks. All guests will need to provide their own bedding, but mattresses are provided by the site. Both dormitories are coed and will fill up. The bathrooms and showers are single sex.

Parking is extremely limited, and unpaved, at the Sieg Center. There is absolutely no room for oversize vehicles, and we urge everyone to carpool as much as possible. Several areas are off limits for parking due to underground structures. Please observe signs.

From everywhere, take your best route to I-80. From interstate 80 take Exit 173 to Lamar (state route 64 south). At the bottom of the exit ramp proceed southward, towards State College, on route 64. Begin looking for SCA signs. Travel 1.9 miles, and then turn left onto Washington Ave. There is a sign for the Lock Haven Conference Center at this intersection. Continue on this road for 3.4 miles (it will turn into Narrows Road). The entrance to the site is on your right (no street address).
From points South of State College Area, take your best route to State College PA, via route 322. From 322 take 26 (which will become state route 64 North) for 26 miles. Turn right onto Washington Ave, at the sign for the Lock Haven Conference Center. Continue on this road for 3.4 miles (it will turn into Narrows Road). The entrance to the site is on your right.
Fabric, Fiber, Fighting, Fencing, etc (FFF) 16 Half-Dozen Largesse Derby
Judging will be by populace choice. Categories: Adult (17 & over), Teen (13-16) & Youth (12 & under)
The Winner from each category will receive one item from each set entered as their reward. Remaining items will be donated to the Kingdom of Aethelmearc.
Drop off items to the “Largesse Derby” table no later than noon on Saturday. Judging hours and announcement of winners TBD.
There is no limit to the number of sets participants may submit for judging. All are welcome, from first-time Largesse makers to seasoned artisans!

Requirements for participation are as follows:
● Unisex, one size items are preferred.
● Each competitor should donate 7 individual items to the competition. This should be a set of 7 of the same item. More than 7 will be gladly accepted, though more than 7 will not earn bonus points.
● Each set should be tagged in a method that includes the following:
○ Entrant’s SCA Name
○ Entrant’s mundane name
○ Entrant’s home Barony, Shire or Kingdom
○ Entrant’s mailing Address
○ Description of the item and a list of materials, ingredients and any possible allergens.
● Documentation is not required (and won’t get you bonus points) but it is great if you are willing to add it to your set.
● Group entries welcome:
○ The “7 items to a set” rule still applies
○ List the name of your group (if it has one) in addition to the other info on tag
● You do not have to be present to win. You don’t even have to be present to participate! Send your entry with a friend, and I’ll make sure it gets displayed.
