The upcoming seasonal winds and yearnings of Yule lingers throughout the Barony of Delftwood. Delftwood invites all to bear witness of our Yuletide celebration and join in the ensuing merriment. The theme of the event is A Visit to Winter’s Past and all attending is encouraged to celebrate as their persona would during a winter celebration in their chosen period. Their Excellencies, Ixac and Amalie, will also be deciding on Their Bardic and Arts & Sciences Champions in competitions which will delight the assembled populace.
Please join The Barony of Delftwood Saturday, December 3, 2022, for our Yule celebration and Peace Tourney. The event site is St Paul’s Lutheran Church at 210 Hazel Street, Liverpool, NY 13088. Site will open at Noon and close promptly at 5:00 PM. BOTTLED water will be provided by the Barony, and in accordance to kingdom rules any beverages must be drunk outside.. The site is bone dry as per wish of the church. The site is handicap accessible.
Throughout the event there will be many tournaments which are open to all members and youths are encouraged to participate in them.
The Peace Tourney is a face-to-face Arts & Sciences put on by Lady Glenna Cholmondeley as a challenge open to all participants. Day of check-in will be at noonand judging will start at 1PM. Bring your finished work or in progress project. Written documentation is not required, but be prepared to discuss the basics: Who, What, When, Where, Why, How. Pictures welcome, especially step by step process pictures. Prizes will be given for first, second, and third place. Children are encouraged to participate and there will be a prize for the winner in 10 and under and 11 to 17 categories as well.
The Baronial A&S Tourney is a face-to-face Arts & Sciences challenge with no theme as the champion wants everyone to be able to enter it. Day of check-in will be at Noon and judging will start at a time of the Baronage choosing. Bring your finished work or in progress project. Written documentation is not required, but be prepared to discuss the basics: Who, What, When, Where, Why, How. Pictures welcome, especially step by step process pictures.
The Baronial bardic championship will be held in the main hall . Theme to be “Visiting Winters Past” with the entries to be period as selected by Mistress Solveig Throndardottir that should be a fun time for our local bards. It is requested that each entrant be prepared to do a little research and give a brief introduction to their pieces. After the tournament there will be open bardic shenanigans for enjoyment of the populace until court is imminent.
Throughout the day there will be a room available for crafting, children’s activities and period gaming presented by Lord Justin Lymner and other members of the Barony.
Merchanting will be available on a first come, first served basis and space is limited to 3-4 merchants.

Schedule Of The Day:
11 am -Site opens for set up. Please consider coming early to help get the hall ready. If you’re present, I’ll assume you are there to set up.
Noon – Site opens & general revelry begins; peace tourney registration & sign-ins open
Noon – 1 PM Entries for Peace Tournament and Baronial A&S Tournament to be set up
Noon-3pm The room for crafting, children’s activities and gaming will be available
1 PM – Peace tournament and Baronial A&S Champions opens for judging (baronial A&S will be marked)
1:30pm-3pm The bardic championship will begin in the main hall. After the champion ship, Bardic Shenanigans will follow as the main hall will remain open until 3:00pm for open bardic and general merriment.
3:30pm-4:30pm Baronial court
4:30pm-6pm cleanup – We will greatly appreciate everyone who is willing to stay and help us pick up
6:00pm: we’re off site

From the North: Take 81 South to Exit 28/E. Taft Road. Turn right onto E. Taft Road and follow for about 4 miles. E. Taft Road will turn into Vine Street. Turn right onto Hazel Road. Site is on the immediate right.
From the South: Take 81 North to Exit 23-24A-24B/NY-370 W. Use the left lane to continue Exits 24A-24B to NY-370 W/Liverpool. Keep left to continue to Exit 24A. Follow signs for NY-370 W/Onondaga Lake Parkway. Merge onto NY-370 W. Turn right onto Vine Street. Turn left onto Hazel Street. Site is on immediate right.
From the West and East: Take I-90/NYS Thruway towards Syracuse to the exit for Rt 81 South. Stay in lane to take the 7th North Street exit. Follow to Electronics Parkway and turn left. Turn right onto Old Liverpool Road. Use right lane to turn slightly right onto Oswego St. Turn right on Vine Street. Turn left onto Hazel Street. Site is on immediate right.
