“This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne’er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be rememberèd—
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother..”
PLEASE NOTE A CHANGE IN COST FOR THIS EVENT!!!
Nobles! Welcome Back!! The feast of St. Crispin is upon us and the Barony Marche of the Debatable Lands wishes you to celebrate with us at the Fourteenth Agincourt event!
Agincourt will be held at the Monroeville-Pitcairn Sportsmen’s Club, 505 Mosside Blvd, North Versailles, PA, 15137. The site will open at 9:00 a.m. Saturday 23 October 2021 and close at 9:00 p.m.
As a celebration of our being back together again and to show our strength and perseverance over the last many months, we are asking for a display of arms inside the hall. Bring your banners, wear your heraldic clothing, arrive in your heraldic finery or bearing your arms on your shield!
Heavy Weapons Combatants and Fencers! Take the field and fight the battles as your ancestors did on this day. Noble combat shall rule the day until your arms ache from your weapons. What would Agincourt be without archery? Combat and target archers get your bows! We have plans, just for you!
A Tournament at Agincourt
To the Populace from the hands of Sir Oliver Sutton and THL Guillaume le Noir du Bordeaux
Unto the noble armored combatants of this land do we, Sir Oliver and THL Guillaume send greetings!
During an interlude of peace on the day of Agincourt, we propose a tournament be held in the spirit of those 30 combatants who fought in the field between Josseline and Ploermël for the joy of combat.
This will be a warlord format tournament fought over a barrier. Standard SCA combat rules apply unless agreed otherwise by combatants of an individual bout.
As with the 30 we wish to entertain with this display of Prowess. A gallery for the populous shall be set up. We encourage games of chance and wagers on the armed contest. Roses will be provided to share with the one that inspires you during the tournament.
Come and cheer on your favorite combatants!
Tavern Brawl
And never fear, we WILL be having our famous Tavern Brawl, please considering bringing a parrying item. In previous years, we’ve seen giant turkey legs, mugs, etc. Be creative as there will be a prize for the best tavern-themed parrying item!!
Baroness’ Bower
Baroness Constance Glyn Dwr will be hosting a Baroness’ Bower in the hall. Bring your songs and stories to share, or prepare to listen and enjoy, your call.
Food
Your feast cook will be Signora Benedicta di Venetia (formerly known as Lady Alethea Cowle), cooking her final event in the BMDL before going off to University. Please share any dietary needs or restrictions with her no later than two weeks before the event by emailing her at lake.strobel@gmail.com.
THERE WILL BE NO LUNCH AVAILABLE AT THIS EVENT.
