AEthelmearc War Practice XXVIII

Rumblings of War have reached our boarders, to help all prepared Steltonwald invites all to gather again at Cooper’s Lake Campground, (205 Currie Road, Slippery Rock, PA 16057) for AEthelmearc War Practice XXVIII. May 18 – 21, 2017. The site open Thursday, at noon and troll will close on Saturday at 3:00 pm. Please join with us as we endeavor to explore all of the marshal and peaceful activities the society offers. This will include, Rattan, Fencing, Archery, Thrown Weapons, Atlatal, Combat Archer, and Siege. The peaceful pursuits will include classes, meetings, shopping and more.
The Æthelmearc Youth Combat Champions’ Tourney will be held on Saturday, May 20th. Champions will be chosen by Their Majesties, King Timothy and Queen Gabrielle, based on the fighters’ prowess and chivalry.
Schedule for youth fighting at War Practice:
9:00 am – List opens for inspections
9:30 – Authorizations
10:00 – Youth Champion’s Tourney begins
11:00-12:00 – Melees
The Youth Combat list will be on the main battlefield, next to the thrown weapons range and alongside Currie Road.

All R.V.s must be parked on the Serengeti. There is a $10.00 per night connection fee for services. All cars must be moved to the parking area after unloading. There are no cars allowed after unloading in the Barn, Merchant, Rune Stone Areas.
Registration for the event is as follows:
Adult Event Registration is $31.00 for 3 nights,
Adult Member Discount Event Registration is $26.00 for 3 nights.
Adult Event Registration is $25.00 for 2 nights,
Adult Member Discount Event Registration is $20.00 for 2 nights.
Adult Event Registration is $19.00 for 1 nights,
Adult Member Discount Event Registration is $14.00 for 1 nights.
Adult Event Registration is $18.00 for the Day Fee,
Adult Member Discount Event Registration is $13.00 for the Day Fee.
Youth Registration (Ages 6-17) is $9.00 for 3 nights,
$7.00 for 2 nights, $5.00 for 1 night and $4.00 day fee. Infants 5 and under are Free.
There is no pre-registration for this event.
Directions: From the North: **Take I 79 South to exit 99, New Castle/Butler. Make a left at the end of the ramp onto 422 West towards New Castle. Travel about ¼ mile and turn right onto Currie Road (between the signs for 422 Auto Auction / McClymonds Transport) Follow Currie Rd for one mile.
From the East or West via Interstate 8o: Take your best route to I 79 South and follow from **above.
From the West: Take your best route to 422East. When you go under the route 19 under pass you are getting very close. Make the left unto Currie Rd. (between the signs for 422 Auto Sales/McClymonds Transport). Follow Currie Rd. for one mile.
