Spring Coronation of Maynard and Liadain
April 4 @ 8:30 am - 8:30 pm
Hosted By: Shire of Heronter
The Shire of Heronter, with the generous help of the Barony of the Rhydderich Hael, are pleased to host the Coronation of Maynard and Liadain on April 4, 2020 at the First Presbyterian Church (509 Prendergast Avenue, Jamestown, NY 14701). The site will open at 8:30 a.m. and close at 8:30 p.m. The day will feature morning and afternoon courts, a very light mid-day sideboard, and other activities that please Their Majesties.
A few notes on the site, especially disability access: some of the handicapped parking is on the street on Prendergast Street, so please look for them. The main level of the Church is accessible. While it is our intent to have changing areas on other floors, there are two accessible restrooms in the library available for guests with mobility concerns. We ask that others use the other designated areas. As with many old churches, additional restrooms and areas are available in the basement for those who wish to spread out. In addition, the site permits open flame in the feast hall, and it is VERY DISCRETELY damp.
The Event Steward for this event is Duchess Dorinda Courtenay (Dorinda Courtine-White, email@example.com, 716-640-5487) with the partnership of Lord Chebe (Michael Dow).
Registration for each non-member over the age of 18 is $15 while member registration is $10. Registration fees for youth aged 17 and under is $0 (free). A feast created by Sir Ian Kennoven and Duke Cygnus the Blissful is limited to 72 registrations and is offered for $12 for those aged 13 and up, $6 for those 6-12, and free for children 5 and under, but they MUST be reserved if they take a chair.
Dorinda will also be handling reservations for this event, and we will again be offering “express check in” for those interested. As always, the only good reservation is a paid reservation, and at this time, we can accept only check or money order made out to SCA, NY Inc. – Shire of Heronter. Reservations may be sent to Dorinda Courtine-White, 47 Chestnut St., Jamestown, NY, 14701. Questions may be addressed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Express check-in will again work as follows.
1. All reservations must be complete and fully paid.
2. Reservations must include either proof of membership or a signed waiver for all involved.
3. Reservations must include either a valid email address or a self-addressed stamped envelope. This will be used to return an entrance ticket to those reserved.
4. On the day of the event, assuming there are no desired changes to the reservations, the entrance ticket may be deposited in the box at the gate with no need to wait in line. If any changes are needed, we must ask that people get in the normal line to speak to the gate staff.
We hope that this will ease the congestion as many people try to check in before first court.
