Love! Hate! Feuds! Battles! Fire! The Law! Did I mention feuds? Well, then, FEUDS!
The greatest of the Sagas of the Icelanders – The Saga of Burnt-Njal – will come to life at the Njals Saga event to be held in the Barony of Thescorre the weekend of October 14th, 2017. Storytellers from over 5 kingdoms will present a dramatic retelling of the Saga. Please direct any performance related questions to Master Toki Skáldagörvir (Redbeard) firstname.lastname@example.org
The event will take place at the Bristol Hills 4-H Camp, 4437 Kear Rd., Canandaigua NY 14424 (585.394.7838). PLEASE NOTE: no alcohol will be permitted. The site is generally handicapped accessible; cabins and bathrooms are not connected and there may rough ground between the parking, hall, and cabins. The bath house is brand new and handicapped accessible. Limited handicapped parking is available. Any questions please contact the autocrat.
NOTE that this event may not be the best for young children to attend; parents need to determine if their child can sit through 6 to 8 hours of intense story telling. No other activities are planned.

The provided seating will be benches; attendees are encouraged to bring PERIOD chairs, sheepskins, and cushions to assist with their comfort and to enhance the setting of a Viking hall. Period drinking vessels and feast gear are also encouraged.
Site opens Friday, October 13 at 6 PM and closes Sunday, October 15 at 12 Noon. The performance will begin approximately 10:30am on Saturday, October 14th, and will run until approximately 7:30pm, with breaks.
There will be an all-day sideboard based on foods of the Saga period prepared by Baroness Nezah bint Saleem (Mindy DeHollander, email@example.com). Please contact her about dietary requirements.

Event registration includes the all-day side board.
On-site Cabin space: $7.50/night/person. Cabins are available for both Friday and Saturday nights. Each cabin sleeps up to 20 people. PLEASE NOTE: All cabin slots MUST be reserved in advance (limited to 80 each night). Cabin reservation includes a continental breakfast on Saturday & Sunday morning provided by Baroness Sadira bint Wassouf. The cabins contain beds with mattresses and do have electricity. Refer to the websites for local hotel information if desired.
